If you must know, being an intern at Vuepoint Creative is quite exciting. It’s a learning process 24/7 and as the days go by, it gets a little easier but continues to stay busy. The idea of interning with a company that has accomplished so much is inspiring! Vuepoint represents great talent, great minds, and an all around humble group of people who build amazing business relationships. I mean, after all, building relationships with your clients is the most important thing to do.

I’m a full-time student who has no idea what the real world has to offer or better yet, what the business world is going to be like. I guess it’s safe to say that all college students want to have something to look forward to when they graduate… but the idea is to look forward to something in every step of your college path. It’s all one big learning experience. For example, serving tables wasn’t quite the experience I needed going into a marketing degree, but it’s what worked for me – and I was good at it. Although it wasn’t my major, I found great ways to incorporate my customer service skills, restaurant knowledge, kindness, and organizational skills into my Vuepoint internship.

What does it entail? What kind of things do you do?

Constant posts – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the occasional Pinterest interaction.

Managing different social media accounts has allowed me to see things in a wider perspective and in a way that I had never really seen before. Many questions need answers before hitting that post button – What are people thinking? How are they reading this post? Is this the right timing? What will engage the reader? or always, Is this the right way to say it? Pretty intense stuff as a newbie, but they’ve taught me how to elaborate and open my eyes to new ideas or a new way of seeing things. The thing that I appreciate most is Vuepoint has taught me to use my inner abilities to learn, express my thoughts, and have fun doing what I love.

Project Managing, safe to say it explains itself.

As the intern I am learning how to manage all of the upcoming/continuous projects and tasks that Vuepoint has. Making sure we are up to date, meeting deadlines, etc. Project Management has opened my eyes to something I like doing, being organized, prepared, and making sure we are satisfying all of our clients. Question of the day: How are we doing with this project? And 100% of the time we are ready to take on any task with the confidence and skills that Vuepoint provides.

Working as a team.

The team aspect is my favorite part, because we are just that… a team. Together we work to fulfill all client tasks, one does the planning, another the web development, web design, and graphic design. Constant feedback is thrown around from one person to the other, ideas are flying across the room – literally. We work like a close-knit family, with the same goal – to satisfy our clients. But what’s special about Vuepoint is that everyone contributes to something and as an intern I’ve learned project management is a great skill to have.

Then there’s the other stuff, like clients.

Clients have the power to make or break us, so as a business you do the best you can to fulfill all of your clients needs and wants. After all, this is why they hired you. But it’s more to Vuepoint Creative, it’s a relationship. We build relationships and build a trust in our clients so they know exactly who they’re working with. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that clients trust is a BIG thing.

It’s safe to say, I love Vuepoint Creative. A digital marketing agency who is continuing to grow! And one day, they will be even bigger than they had ever imagined. Because people with that much drive, succeed greatly. They’ve helped me grow and I can’t wait to see what the next couple months will be like.
